days of the doc...

So I picked up my new doc today from amber and Jeff and the thing looks like a gem. On the way to shop I saw two of my favorite lil seal groms aydin and daniel. They were skating and looked bored so I asked them if they wanted to come along. We hopped in the tahoe and picked her up. Aydin happened to have a paint pen on him so I let the little guys go wild. pretty rad....-jake

More about Yeserday

Well, since yesterday was so much fun, I decided to write a little on it. Cameron Faris picked me up at 5:15, we picked Cole up at 5:45, and were launching the ski by 6:30. Oceanside is always freezing and it when we stepped out of the car the thermometer read something like 45degrees. It was freezing. Cole and Cameron put on their 4/3s, booties, gloves, and hoods. I put on my 5/4 with booties gloves and hood and we were off to go search for waves. It was pretty high tide at first and the waves weren't cooperating. About halfway through, the waves started getting super fun. 3 foot peaks with noone around. We were practicing our airs and each of us got a few good ones. Cameron's ski reacted a little differently than mine and when I was pulling him, we had a little mishap. I mis-read a wave while trying to pull him into it and nearly died. We were in front of the wave this time and I tried to do a tail-whip and outrun the wave. This didn't work as good as I planned andme and Cole couldn't have been luckier. Somehow the ski turned a little bit at the last second and we didn't flip the thing. Everything was going good until Cameron took the wheel. Same thing happened to him a few minutes later. There was a 3 foot wave coming and he had just picked me up on the sled and Cole was on the ski with him. Instead of taking the thing head on, he decided to try to whip the tail around and head back in towards the beach. Well, the tail didn't really whip around and the wave caught us and the ski started riding the wave. Luckily, Cameron pulled us out of the sticky situation but Cole wasn't so lucky. His weak little muscles couldn't keep him on the ski and he fell off. We were all laughing so hard. Everything else went good and we each got a few good air sections and good waves.When we were all finished and done, we were picking up the boards that were anchored just passed the line up. Somehow, all of us leaned to one side of the ski and we all fell off. The anchor went right through my board, but once again, we all started laughing. It was a great trip and thanks again to Cameron for taking me and Cole. We had a blast and can't wait to go when the waves get big. Good learning experience though and now we feel more comfortable with each other.

Three way tie in the volcom semi and i countback into fifth place and miss the final. made a few rounds so pretty happy with that. any weekend hanging out with skoody and taybo is a good weekend ! We have a little video comin in the next day of the event so stay posted.

Yah me and Jake finally got to have some quality hang out time last night. We were at a party and skoody happened to be there. He proposed to us that if we let him join our blog he would pay the $10 to get rid of the .blogspot. Well, actually the party was for Cole's chick and we got treated to an amazing steak and potato dinner. Cheers to that. Here's some photos from the night and we'll keep you posted on Cole's possible entrance to being a fellow aquatician.

the update of jake.

Hello online world. so in the last few weeks this is what has transpired. I went to New jersey for the Belmar fins pro. surfed like a goose didn't make it very far but I really enjoyed the east coast. I got to cruise new york city with my older sister and we checked out central park, time square and a few museums and what not. New york is rad and is a very refreshing trip for surfers who get jaded over the typical tropical climate and crowded surf.

Before I went to jersey I took a nice little day trip to watch the ct' at lowers. I'm blown away by how fast the level is rising and it is a bit daunting trying to feel like I need to imitate that to get there. Owen Wright really stood out to me as someone who could win the world tour next year. He's incredible.

Me and Taylor saw each other yesterday for the first time in 6 months !!!!! heavy huh? I missed him very much. Well I hope you enjoyed my rambling. seeeeee ya lata.
