On my recent flight to Hawaii I encountered one of the single best moments of airplane travel. After the captain made his regular announcements over the loudspeaker, "Thank you for joining Hawaiian Airlines. You are on flight 1 and we will be arriving to Honolulu international airport in just over 5 hours. Sit back and enjoy the flight. After this, he forgot to turn off the intercom speakers. Well turns out, he started talking to the co-pilot. His words. . .

"If only I had a cup of coffee and a BJ I would enjoy this flight much more. . ."

Before he could go on, a flight attendant runs up from the back of the plane with the intention of telling the captain to turn off the intercom. The best part happened when one of the guys yelled to her, "Don't forget the coffee too honey!"

At this point, everyone in the entire aircraft was exploding with laughter.

days of the doc...

So I picked up my new doc today from amber and Jeff and the thing looks like a gem. On the way to shop I saw two of my favorite lil seal groms aydin and daniel. They were skating and looked bored so I asked them if they wanted to come along. We hopped in the tahoe and picked her up. Aydin happened to have a paint pen on him so I let the little guys go wild. pretty rad....-jake

Wild weekend

This weekend I headed up north to the not so splendid place of pismo to hangout with my friends and girlfriend at the WSA contest. Saturday morning turned out to be crazy weather with rain and lots of wind. I had a fun lil surf next to the pier and was pretty siked to see my chick and get to hang with the whole wsa crew. I got on the mic for the first time in a while announcing the surf contest and what not. I like to announce but not when the waves are sub par. So the next day we woke up to hurricane force winds that destroyed the contest site. It ended up hailing and was borderline being canceled. WSA kept the comp going and most of the grom's were ripping. I dropped a few coins on hoagie sandwhiches and watched my seal groms killing it. Sam Wickwire, Kirk Wissinger, and Tyler Killeen we're all killing it and made me feel quite stoaked for the future of seal beach surfing.- Jake
