frustration....

This year I have competed in 3 Volcom crustaceous tour events. I have gotten 4th in the semis of all of these events. Todays event I surfed in at seaside reef their was horrendous glare and I did a turn I felt pretty confident about. Got the fins out of the water layed back rode it out clean. I received a whopping score of a 1.5. RAD. My buddy Colin Moran and Kulia, colin in the juniors and Kulia in the womens, weren't even judged on their waves. I've judged before so I know how hard it is to deal with glare and differential between colors and what not but Kulia and I have had this problem in all 3 events we have competed in this season. That happened to be my last contest in juniors, and because I didn't make the final put's me out of the running to qualify for The VQS world championships in newport. Newport is just a few miles down p.c.h and a place I feel really comfortable surfing. I was hoping to qualify in my last year, but luck wasn't shown my way. Sorry for all the bitching and complaining. volcom is amazing for running these events. Just wish the judges could inform the competitors where they are able to see.
