Angels from hell

As a child,
I assumed the thunder of their 2 strokes was the roar of lions.
Mounted on their black steeds. Clad in leather and denim armor like the black knights of childhood fairy tails.
Lords of the high ways.
Their hair flowing in their wake like vikings of a modern age.
Pirates on their two wheeled vessels.
Their skulls and cross bones stitched proudly like medals of honor on veterans.
A poetic rebellion.
Their maidens bearing the words "property of"
I used to speculate on such a slogan.
Was it possible obtain a status of such a women.
Pin ups of a lesser beauty.
Cigarettes protruding proudly from red lips.
Belonging to these street vigilantes.
A society based on respect
Yet ran by fear. Trials by clench fists
They were Hells Angels.
The warriors of a dying breed.
As a child,
I assumed the thunder of their 2 strokes was the roar of lions.
Now, I just hear the war cries of machinery.
Hells Angels do not ride two strokes.
