The list....

watching the world tour at Jay bay I thought I'd do a top 5 of my favorite surfers and maybe a little reason why. So let the biased judging begin.


1. Matt Wilkinson-

The guy is the mad hatter of the world tour. He's got a perm, rollerblades, and pretty much the only non straight edged surfer. Aside from his out of the water antics, his backside is what everyone should aspire to. Fins out every turn, powerful and smooth. He's the man.

2. Taj Burrow-

Explosive, innovative, and all without lookin like a brazo.

3. Julian Wilson-

His technique mixing blow tails and power
carves. I like that he kind of reminds me of an older Kanoa Igarashi.

4. Owen Wright-

maybe it's because he's a goofy foot or because he's on the unfortunate side of luck like myself but I can't help but always root for this guy. He's got the best repetoire of airs, barrel riding ability, and turns I think of all goofies on tour. It's only a matter of time.

5 Ace Buchan. Best back hand on tour right now. if you don't believe me then you have poor eye sight. I really like the way he holds himself out of the water as well. Very articulate and politically correct
