A rather fine lunchin
so Kelsey and I today after our fine day of learning decided to head to the local eatery called "THE SECRET SPOT". If you have never attended this divine place, it's a rather popular hangout for vegans and artist and long boarders. Growing up in Seal, I think i was exposed to the more soul side of surfing. Guys like billy lemire and julio castillo I hung out with and looked up to always riding home made logs and having me watch movies like sprout and single fin yellow. I have a lot of respect for that side of surfing. I think I fit in more with that side of the surfing circle. I actually only rode shortboards growing up because I hated having to carry longboards down to the beach and back haha. The whole scene at north side is pretty special and I'll always hold it in high regard. I feel like surfing is starting to breathe negativity with the localism and the masses of people with no respect for the roots and the history. I just wish people would treat it like golf. It's a gentlemen'sport and their is rules and what not that need to be respected. Sorry that my blog doesn't have hi fi videos of me and really artsy blurry photos. It's a bunch of babble as of late. but I hope who ever is reading this will be ok with that.
