I never really knew what an impact my actions could make. Everyone has the choice to build people up, or tear them down. I have this friend on surf team named Matt Millar. He's the most stoked happy go lucky kid on the planet. Shows up every morning at surf team frothing to get in the water if it's 2 to 10 feet. He goes out every morning even if he has to long board to get a wave. He never takes a bad day out on anyone, always laughing and helping others. Some of the kids in seal watch a lot of the things I do. I have an obligation to live a life worth following, guide them on the path of positivity. Help them not make the same mistakes that I did. I've been putting a little more time listening and talking to some of these younger guys and try to help them and their families out. Even if it is as small as a ride home from school or buying someone lunch. Maybe if I show them to treat the younger guys and gals with respect and be kind to everyone no matter what their reaction is. Maybe I can pay it forward.......
