What is this world coming to?

This news is depressing. Here are 3 things that upset me greatly. If you read this and feel the same way, please do something about it. Send in a letter, spread the word, and help set things back to normal.

1. MLPA closures. If you are a fisherman in California, you know what this is about. Why on earth would Laguna be closed to fishing until the end of the world? Maybe the Department of Fish and Game needs a reality check. Isn't 10 bass a piece too much? i mean just last night alone one boat took over 700 sand bass and another took close to 500. Put two and two together and that's 1200 fish. There were also 20 other boats out there that had the same result in a matter of hours. How about putting regulations down to 5 fish a person instead of 10? If you honestly can eat all 10 of your fish, go ahead and take them. But I've been fishing since I was 5 years old and know that 5 fish a person is PLENTY. If you are a fisherman, make your own limits. Only take 5 fish. Help the environment. As for me, I try to not take more than I can eat. I had a friend who went fishing yesterday. He took 10 UNDERSIZED white sea bass. You know who you are. Why would you want to kill 12 inch white sea bass when in a few years they will be 50 pounds and have babies! I could go on and on about fish counts and will probably bore you but if you take away anything from this, please be responsible. Thanks

2. Fiji. Wow, okay so Fiji was my favorite place in the world and still is. But what used to be a private island with private reefs for max 20 surfers is now open to the public. How does that happen? Next time I go to fiji i'm gonna have to surf cloudbreak w/ 50 kooks from the Rendezvous resort. The nicest thing about Tavarua was that you know everybody you're surfing with. Whether it be a close friend, a person you just met, or a crazy ass backpaddling idiot, you know they're name and know who they are. Who is going to pay $4,500 to go surf with dozens of Brazilians. This is the most heartbreaking law passed in a long time. Tavarua and Namotu will never be the same again. *tears*

3. Global Warming. You live in Socal and still believe in global warming? If you do, your stupid. Global warming is nothing to be worried about. 10 out of the 11 days of July have been June Gloom. I'm pretty sure 25 days in June were gloomy. As for myself, i still wake up in the mornings and put on pants and a sweatshirt. I'm lucky if by midday, i'm wearing shorts. Every day is depressing and raining and foggy. Please, get out a pen and paper, and write a letter to the weather man to make the sun shine!

peace out homies and live green- Taylor
