Finally Some Surfing Pics

As you can probably tell, me and Jake get tons of when we surf so we have way too many photos to post of us. (not). Sitting in the airport right now on the way home from Nicaragua and recalling the adventures of the past 2 days. Waves were pumping yesterday. Sunny, overhead barrels. There were needlefish everywhere though. While surfing astillero, the water was so dirty only me and another guy paddled out. There were needlefish jumping all over us and one gave me a little hicky. He ended up going in after 10 minutes because the things were so scary. As soon as I come in, one of the boys on the beach tells me how his friend got speared through the cheek and had to rip the nose of the fish right out of his cheek. No joke, it was the scaredest I've ever been while surfing. And then, today while riding back in the boat from surfing, the prop got something stuck in it. The captain immediately turned it into neutral and surveys the scene. It takes us a minute to find it, but there's a 5 pound, 3 foot long needlefish floating belly up about 5 feet behind us. Turns out we ran over the thing and killed it, so he grabbed it out of the water w/ bare hands and we ended up having sashimi.
